Dryer Duct Cleaning

It is vital that you routinely have your dryer duct cleaned. Lack of proper maintenance, compacted lint will prevent your dryer from working properly. In some situations, may even cause a dryer fire. Don’t wait!

It is estimated that over 15,000 home fires each year are caused by dryer vents that are partially or completely clogged with lint. These are fires that are easily prevented with a little preventative maintenance that home owners can often do themselves. Lint is flammable.

When airflow is restricted your dryer has to work harder and may take more than one cycle to dry clothes which uses more energy. The tumbling action of dryers is hard on clothes and if your dryer has to run longer to dry your clothes they are experiencing Depositphotos_5374173_xs1-300x200unnecessary wear and tear.

Most people clean their lint trap after every load of laundry. However, lint also accumulates in the duct work that is hidden inside the walls. That hidden duct needs to be cleaned or inspected annually. The flex duct that connects the dryer to the wall, should be cleaned out as well. To properly clean the duct work, we need to disconnect the flex duct that connects your dryer to the wall. This allows access for our brushes, as illustrated below. To speak with a specialist, call Fresh Air, your San Deigo & Temecula dryer duct cleaning specialist.

We use the brush and vacuum method of cleaning. We will connect our vacuum to one end of the duct while going thru the other end of the duct with our rotary brush system. This method insures that the entire duct line is free and clear of lint. We will even clean the flex hose connecting your dryer to the wall.
